Y2, Week 3: Pageant of the Transmundane

We are coming to you prerecorded from the streets of Santa Cruz, California... in fact it looks like I am standing in front of someplace called the Cayuga Vault, whatever that is. Looks like a theatre of some sort but there is no red carpet, then again, I don't get invited to the red carpet events anyway, so I guess it is ok.

This week a heavy hitter has come back to the plate and unlike that overpayed goat Casey, he actually delivered the goods.

I am of course talking about the mammoth talent of transmundanity, Mr. Fab in what he considered an off week for his own production. If you've followed this award with any regularity, you know that when this particular individual wins, well, it is usually for something both nasty and wonderfully weird and this week is no exception.

He captured himself in audio format *ahem* enjoying the pleasure of his own company a little TOO much for a feature he called "Masterbate Theatre".

And while the milieu of the Simpsons is often a good set of source material for this award, sometimes the show does present the perfect image for a particular entry, and so we have Homer giving himself some self-love as this week's Homer Simpson Transmundanity Award. Really takes your breath away, doesn't it?

Now this is his first for this year and his fourth overall. Perhaps Mr. Fab should get creatively blocked more often. Congrats you bald bastard... congrats, you got the award without a banana.

The rules of this little contest: Every week I will be selecting one blog post that I have seen from the vast reaches of the blogosphere to bestow with the Homer Simpson Transmundanity Award for being one of the freakiest(in a funny way) things I've seen or read during a 7 day period. It doesn't necessarily have to have been written during the week, I just had to have encountered it. That means that if you find something interesting and repost it like a movie or whatever, if I saw it at your blog first, you get the prize. Of course, creating your own content is also a very good way to win.

Now, if you see a post that you think is worthy of this illustrious prize, just drop me a line at campybeaver@gmail.com and we'll see if we can't get your suggestion up and award-ready while giving you some credit and a link to your own blog.
