This week's winner is the oldest post to win the award... since it was made in February 2005, but it recently bubbled up to the top of the Stumbleupon pile, and well, as has been stated in the past, it isn't when the post was made but when I see it that makes it eligible for this award.
You see, there is a blog called Vestal Design, which seems to revel in oddities of graphic design, user interfaces and other vagaries of the world of artistic expression specifically for consumers, and almost 3 years ago, writer Jeff Warren discovered a strange little promotional item that Skippy Peanut Butter put out. It is a little cardboard record player with a mini vinyl record.
And the image that I associate most with the above find comes from stills from Homer's Barbershop Quartet. Homer Simpson with the other members of the B-Sharps, accepting their Grammy Award (which is in the shape of a Gramophone) from David Crosby. It just seems appropriate.
Congratulations to Jeff and the rest of the crew over at Vestal Design for this win.
