Started working on this 54mm display model as a break from the other painting projects. The base is made out of a spray can cap which is just turned upside down and fit with a piece of foam. This time around I also used plaster to smooth things out and cover all cracks. It is now just covered in PVA and sand. I have not decided what type of basing this model will have, but I'm leaning towards partial snow covered base.Miniature is from Siberia Miniatures, the same place from where I bought my 54mm Polish winged hussar. Love these models, the castings are fantastic and detail is great. I expect it to take 2-3 sessions to finish this model, but hope to have it finished later this week.
