Tonight the puck drops between Boston and Vancouver. The Canucks are looking for their first ever Stanley Cup, while the Bruins haven't won since 1972.

"Pittsburgh bounced back strong in 1971–72 with a playoff berth only to be swept by the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round. All the promise that built up in the franchise in the last few seasons was slowly unraveling with age getting to the older expansion draft players, the low draft picks and the tragic death of what should have been the Penguins superstar Brière."Oy.
Anyway, here are our predictions.
Finesse: Boston is a very solid team, but is essentially comprised of three really good second lines. Vancouver will have the three best players in the series, and while we said the same thing about Tampa, the rest of Vancouver's team is far deeper and more experienced than the rest of Tampa's. Boston's second line-type players can win playoff games and even playoff series, but superstars win Stanley Cups. Just ask Toews and Kane, Sid and Geno, and Datsyuk and Zetterberg. Anything less than an A+ showing from Tim Thomas, and the Bruins have no chance. Vancouver in 7.
Artistry: I went on the record in my post over the weekend, but it's good to repeat it now: Vancouver in 6. The Sedins make Chara's head spin.
