Week 51: Pageant of the Transmundane

Just one more week until the Annual Transmundanity Award process begins.

Now somehow I have found myself in Miami, Florida, and I am doing everything in my power to avoid running into David Caruso, because I don't want my blogging career to suddenly careen down a cliff like his acting career did at one point. If I lay low and avoid his ego and overacting, well, I should be fine. And in the meantime, well, there is an award to give out.

This week brings us an exceptional discovery from the annals of Electronic Cerebrectomy. Every week, Samuraifrog puts together a list of interesting links throughout the blogosphere that he thinks his readers should check out, and at the end of those described links, he usually embeds a Youtube video. And it was that very same video that brought him victory this week.

Now, I could go and ruin it, but where would the fun be in that. This is a piece of audacious editing just you have to see.

How good is this video? While I was watching it, I was thinking it was better than entry I had pegged to win this award tonight.... but for about a minute and a half, I could not even remember what the other entry actually was. Freaky but true... this week's winner literally blew its competition out of my mind for a short period of time.

Now I originally had a really fitting image for the winning entry, but after having some second thoughts, I decided my original image would have potentially revealed too much about the video, so I went with something a little more... presidential. I don't think it is a bad token for Samuraifrog's first Homer Simpson Transmundanity Award, do you?

Congrats on your first Transmundanity win. Huzzah!

The rules of this little contest: Every week I will be selecting one blog post that I have seen from the vast reaches of the blogosphere to bestow with the Homer Simpson Transmundanity Award for being one of the freakiest(in a funny way) things I've seen or read during a 7 day period. It doesn't necessarily have to have been written during the week, I just had to have encountered it. That means that if you find something interesting and repost it like a movie or whatever, if I saw it at your blog first, you get the prize. Of course, creating your own content is also a very good way to win.

Now, if you see a post that you think is worthy of this illustrious prize, just drop me a line at campybeaver@gmail.com and we'll see if we can't get your suggestion up and award-ready while giving you some credit and a link to your own blog.
