Bunch of stuff

With blogger down for almost 24h I became a bit frustrated. Mainly because I wanted to show the Lurkers at the Treshold miniatures from Frothers Unite which arrived today.

Big thanks to Pete for fixing my order and shipping it so soon! Expect proper pictures in the near future - with painted models. I  took all these pics just a few minutes ago. The grandfather clock is huge, and it comes with a 30mm round metal base that fits perfectly into a 40mm beveled lip base.

Tomorrow I'm off to play my very first Early War game using my Polish against my buddy Widgren's Germans. We have not decided what scenario to play yet, and the size of battle may be "use all we got" (1900pts for me) since I still need to paint up a few things to get a proper Infantry Battalion. This battle will mainly be us trying to get a feel for some of the units - but I will write a battle report and record a bit with my camera none the less.

I was a bit worried about the transport situation, I don't have any army case specific for Flames of War. But I discovered that my regular army case for 28mm miniatures worked perfectly with all the tanks. The infantry bases also fit into the slots when put upside down. I made a temporary transport for my cavalry and artillery out of a cardboard box and a few foam pieces that I had saved up from my Feldherr army transport. The foam is very sticky on one side so no glue was needed. I will make a better looking transport box out of a more reasonably sized cardboard box sometime next week. What was important for tomorrows game was that the large bases would not slide around and chip while I drive into town and back home.

Stuff for tomorrows battle.
