A faux tweet noted that Howie Mandel's new NBC game show
Take It All will debut for a short run on December 10.
Now comes a
Hollywood Junket report on the show's gameplay and set. The format will sound familiar to anybody who's ever played the white elephant parlor game. Once upon a time I played a long session of the game with people from my wife's church choir. Basically, contestants decide if they want to steal somebody else's prize or keep their own. The kicker: they get eliminated if they end up with the worst prize at the end of a round.
The endgame is based on the prisoner's dilemma, a familiar gimmick from GSN's
Friend or Foe and a few other game shows over the years.
Hollywood Junket gets almost giddily enthusiastic about the show. In particular, they praise Howie as "funny, quick and right on point." Well, Howie did host
Deal or No Deal with surprising charm.
