Life goes on, bra

A few posts ago I noted that former Wipeout host Vanessa Lachey recently gave birth to a kid who is so cute. This prompted some semi-sage observations about how life goes on, even for game show people.

Wouldn't you know, Bleacher Report (a site usually devoted to sporting matters) has done a life-goes-on feature about Nickelodeon's hosts from the 1980s and 1990s. The group has piled up a lot of years, a lot of relationships and kids, and a lot of jobs, mostly in show business.

Michael O'Malley may be the best known of the group, thanks to his Glee-ful career lately. But I thought Jessica Gaynes' story was the most interesting. After her stint on Wild and Crazy Kids in 1990-92, she got out of the business and had kids of her own. Now she "speaks passionately about child labor issues." She didn't much like her experiences as a teenaged hired hand at Nick.
