Winners

American Bible Challenge has wrapped its first season with the team Judson's Legacy taking home the grand prize. As you might guess from the name, the team was formed in memory of a child named Judson, who died at age two from a rare disorder called Krabbe disease. Judson's parents and a family friend make up the team.

This cynical blog will pause in its cynicism long enough to congratulate the winners and GSN for contributing $140,000 to medical research on a cure for the disease. Whatever your opinion of religion - and a number of anti-religious reviewers dumped on the Bible quizzer when it debuted - it's hard not to feel good about this story.

Of course, American Bible Challenge has also done very good business for GSN. Which is fine with me. The show is funny and clever and Jeff Foxworthy hosts with flair. A second season has already been ordered. I wish the producers good luck and continued success.
