Gentlemen's Club duelist member

Another "regular" member, but sporting a pistol/cavalry saber combo. This model almost killed me as I repainted the jacket 5 times, it's probably covered in 20 layers of paint at this point. Initially I wanted a dark brown jacket to make a greater contrast to the cape, but I just could not make it look the way I wanted.

In the end I decided to make it look more grey and closer to the khaki colored cape - but with enough difference between the shades so that one can tell the two pieces of clothing apart. I think this was a good idea because the dark brown jacket just didn't work out aesthetically with everything else. The color used is really a mix of brown, green and bone white in various ratio's.

For the Gentlemen's club members I have also been experimenting with a new way to paint flesh, I wanted a bit warmer tones than I usually paint in. So the way the skin is painted follows these steps:

Vallejo tanned flesh
Citadel Ogryn Flesh wash
Vallejo tanned + bone white in 3 additional layers, each with more bone white in it.
I then mix Citadel Baal Red Wash with Vallejo Soft Shade 50-50 and add water to make it a 50-50 ratio of water/wash and apply it over all flesh areas. It's important not to make it too dark as the intent it to softly shade everything and not darken the final highlights too much.
